Regent Grandeur review

May

Pros: Room was nice, service.

Cons: Excursions were not very good, heard a lot of complaining around the ship.

Recommended: No

Time in port ended too soon. We paid for a few small group excursions that ended up doing the exact same thing as the big group, and the tour guide didn’t even walk with us on one. The absolute biggest issue was NOT being able to hear the tour guides. Not sure why only one of our tours used the headphones, but it left us wishing we would not have even taken any sponsored excursions. If we cruise again on Regent I would likely not even participate with the excursions if they were like this trip, and definitely not pay for the small groups. We thought SM opportunities were an asset of Regent, but were a total disappointment.website mentioned Dyson hairdryers in suites so I left mine at home, only to be told we didn’t have one, not even to rent. Every river cruise and the last non-regent ocean cruise included dysons. For as much as we hear all cruise how Regent is 6 sultans service we didn’t feel the offerings afforded Regent to make this claim.

The Grandeur was Grand!

May

Pros: Crew members were attentive to needs. Food was incredible!

Cons: Transfers between hotels both in departure (ran late not organized well paperwork not completed properly and turned away at the port). When leaving the ship to check into the hotel the lines were excessive and wait time to check in was extreme.

Recommended: Yes

I would go on another Regent cruise because things on the ship were great Some people that assisted with my needs really stood out William the concierge was fabulous when he helped arrange tickets for events in Barcelona. Hugo was fantastic when helping me download and print those tickets. Fast efficient and friendly! Lastly Kenza is a very gregarious helpful individual. I enjoyed meeting her and she definitely helped with my dietary needs!

Will Book Another

May

Pros: Beautiful ship, great ports, superior hospitality, Intercontinental Hotel Barcelona was fabulous, most of the excursions were great, piano player dynamite,

Cons: Communication needs improvement

Recommended: Yes

The port we were taken to in Barcelona was a very long drive away from the city. Communication was lacking a few times (canceling Ibiza tour, explaining that the excursions do not always meet in the theater - we were early enough that we barely made the bus but a whole lot of others missed it), staterooms were fabulous but the vacuum was disgusting and needs replaced or refurbished (we never went barefoot on our floors), Westin Rome was not a great experience, wish all of the tour guides had audio sets as those that did were much easier to follow and understand,

Wonderful Time on Regent !!

April

Pros: The Staff on the Ship, great food and drinks !!

Cons: They had a comedian on board and he was great, I would say they need a little more special entertainment.

Recommended: No

Our Deluxe Suite on the Grandeur did not disappoint! The room was spacious with plenty of space to relax and unwind after an exciting day of adventures. The only little quirk was that you couldn’t watch the TV from the couch, only from the bed—but honestly, that didn’t take away from the overall excellence of this cruise. If they are doing a cruise any longer then this I do recommend if they are able to, upgrade to a larger room. The staff on this cruise were courteous, friendly, and always ready to assist whenever needed. Their constant presence made the journey feel personalized and cared for. Entertainment options were engaging and kept everyone happily occupied throughout the trip. The restaurants provided fabulous dining with wonderful, attentive service, making each meal a true dining experience. Excursions were well-organized, smoothly executed, and received excellent attention from the crew. This flawless combination of exceptional service and well-planned activities truly makes selling this cruise a breeze!". All in all, Regent offers a seamless, memorable experience.

Perfection delivered

March

Pros: Beautiful ship - upholds the Regent reputation

Cons: The main entertainment/show performances began at 9:30 p.m.

Recommended: Yes

The proximity to the Faberge egg was an unexpected bonus; the chandeliers and lighting design were art in themselves; lush fabrics on furniture and window dressings; latest innovations in touchless connection at all doorways; spa service and amenities were immediately available when desired; attentive and gracious staff everywhere. We did not attend any shows due to the late hour. Only one evening was a shortened version of the Elton John performance offered that began at 5:30. BTW - it was fantastic! I would like to see more options like that.

Regent Grandeur lives up to the reviews!

March

Pros: New ship, great food, great entertainment

Cons: There were none

Recommended: No

After being on the inaugural January of 2024, I couldn't wait to have another chance to get onboard this ship. It felt like coming home! Everything was just as shiny and new. We appreciated the varied food venues and types of cuisine offered. We were able to make more reservations onboard to our favorite restaurants, or if we met people we wanted to dine with. Our cabin was stellar! I did notice the bed was a little firm for me the first few nights, but I asked my stateroom steward for a mattress topper and it was added immediately for full comfort! All of the restaurants are highly recommended. We ate in each multiple times so we had the opportunity to sample many menu items. We also were able to enjoy a culinary class, which was done very well and created more learning and less work for the participants! Bars and lounges were unique enough to find some favorites in each of the course of the two weeks.
